McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant / Associate Professor, Head & Neck Surgical Oncology, in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology.We are seeking an academically motivated, full-time faculty member who has completed otolaryngology residency training and is now board-certified/eligible. The practice focus for this position will be comprehensive otolaryngology.The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.Position Key Accountabilities:The successful Assistant / Associate Professor candidate in Otorhinolaryngology will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical student education, and clinical and collaborative research.Individuals must demonstrate excellence in clinical medicine, teaching, and scholarly activities during their training and practice.This is a unique opportunity for those interested in academic otorhinolaryngology with a specific interest in general ENT and head and neck oncology/surgery. Approximately 80% of the position will be based at the Department's clinic at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital (part of Harris Health System), which has a large base of patients with head and neck tumors. The remaining 20% will be at the Department's Texas Medical Center office. Fellowship training in head and neck oncology is preferred (but not required).
