At VERSES, we're shaping the future of computing with our natural computing platform, Genius. We're looking for a Machine Learning Researcher to join an exciting new group working at the cutting edge of ML research.

✍️Role and Responsibilities

As an ML Researcher you will:

  • Pursue cutting edge ML research both independently and as part of a team.
  • Develop ML theory, constructing ML implementations at scale and publishing papers with a focus on: Multi-agent dynamics, AI governance and AI alignment
  • Distill and present  your work to our company leaders on a regular basis.
  • Work with others in the scientific or research community to assist them in their research. This role contributes to specific lines of development and innovation work, to help others who are accountable for product development to implement and operationalize research results

🎓Essential Qualifications 

  • Education & Experience
    • Must have a PhD or be pursuing doctoral studies or Masters degree and 4 years of experience in ML/AI technology
    • Advanced degree in a quantitative field, with experience in computer science, data science, statistics and operations research
  • Technical & Domain Knowledge
    • Demonstrated track record at publishing in top echelon ML venues such as NeuIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, etc on topics such Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, ML Theory & Foundations Unsupervised Learning & Generative Models
    • Knowledge of Active Inference or probabilistic computing
    • Experience at the cutting edge of machine learning research
    • Have knowledge of implementing AI systems at scale
    • Sympathetic to Bayesian approaches in machine learning
    • Ability to work within a team of both ML research scientists and engineers
  • Communication and Soft Skills
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • A passion for innovation

🌟Job Type

  • Regular, Full-time
  • Remote -  Preference for those in the North America region or the ability for work hours to coincide with the Eastern time zone in the US (subject to change based on business needs).
  • Starting at $140,000 for US based individuals; geographically adjusted as appropriate to location.
