Associate, Business Operations

Beautifully designed, brilliantly engineered, sustainable, and built with health in mind, the V1 makes high-quality housing accessible to those who earn too much for subsidized housing but too little for market-rate options.


Vessel is growing rapidly, with scores of projects in planning, and we’re looking for an exceptional Associate, Business Operations to join our team and partner closely with our Founder and CEO. This role is integral to ensuring operational excellence, driving strategic initiatives, and helping the company maintain its fast-paced growth trajectory. 


What You'll Do
  • Serve as the right hand to the CEO, managing a range of priorities and removing blockers that could impede progress 
  • Lead and manage special projects aligned with the company's long-term vision, including overseeing feasibility studies, investment strategies, and site selection initiatives 
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and forecasts to evaluate opportunities and support decision-making
  • Partner with the CEO and key stakeholders to prepare impactful presentations, reports, and key metrics for the Board of Directors 
  • Drive high-priority initiatives, coordinating across departments and ensuring deadlines are met 
  • Assist leadership in resolving problems, driving priorities, and handling operational tasks 
  • Balance the CEO’s calendar by prioritizing strategic thought, relationship-building, and focused work time 


Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field 
  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking or management consulting
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Strong visual and written communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into digestible, action-oriented communication 
  • High degree of ownership, initiative, and a willingness to dive deep into details while maintaining focus on the big picture
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership teams, stakeholders, and external partners 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities
