Veteos is a video production company that works exclusively in the veterinary industry. Our videos are about a subject matter that both our clients and our team are passionate about – pets! Veteos is seeking one full-time Videographer/Editor to join our award-winning team. This opening is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established video production company that’s continuing to grow.

Description

The Videographer/Editor role at Veteos is responsible for creating short videos for our clients similar to the videos found on this page and the live-action videos on this page. Many of the videos you’d work on in your first year of employment would follow an existing style and structure we’ve developed for veterinary practices’ marketing needs. You’ll be responsible for filming and editing these videos so that they align with the style guidelines while also creatively capturing the unique aspects of each client’s business. Additional projects will include videos for businesses that provide products and services within the veterinary industry (pharmaceuticals, pet food, pet insurance, technology service providers, etc.).

Work Schedule

This salaried role is based on a 40-hour workweek target. Out-of-town travel lasting 2-3 days will typically be required 2-4 times each month for filming. While based in Denver, Colorado, our team works remotely from our homes, with periodic face-to-face meetings and social gatherings in the Denver area. To be considered for this role applicants must currently reside in Denver, Colorado, or the surrounding area.

Annual Salary

$55,000-60,000 USD annual salary, based on experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience working in a creative, team-based environment or freelancing

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to work in an independent, yet collaborative role (you’ll film/edit your own projects alongside other team members who will contribute to the process and provide feedback)
  • Ability to take a project from supplied script/concept to completion
  • Ability to work within a time budget
  • Strong organization skills for file management and project structure
  • Ability to incorporate internal and client feedback into revisions
  • Ability to plan video shoots, including working directly with clients on logistics
  • Comfortable working independently as a one-person crew, filming video footage on-site at veterinary practices and other locations. Occasionally, able to collaborate as part of a larger crew of 2-4 people
  • Experience filming “on-location” and with natural lighting while maintaining high production values
  • Ability to direct non-professional talent to get action shots that appear natural
  • Experienced in lighting and audio setup for interviews
  • Strong on-the-fly decision-making skills to resolve complications during filming
  • Proficient in basic color grading (advanced experience is a bonus)
  • Confident in utilizing After Effects assets within Premiere Pro

Physical Requirements

  • Physical ability to walk and/or stand on your feet throughout a normal workday is required
  • Physical ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs. and carry up to 75 lbs. regularly throughout a normal workday required
  • Allergic conditions, which may be aggravated when handling or working with animals may be a disqualification

Workspace

  • This is a remote position. You’ll be responsible for providing a workspace (e.g., home office, etc.)
  • Veteos will provide the required equipment/software
  • If needed, Veteos will provide a desk, chair, etc.
  • You’ll be asked to travel to our office or other destinations in Denver for team meetings and events 4 to 6 times a month

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including assistance with insurance ($300/month via an HRA); paid holidays (9 days per year); paid time off (10 days for years 0-1, 15 days for years 2-5, 20 days for years 5+); paid sick leave (up to 48 hours per year); matching simple IRA (2% matching for enrolled team members); and more.
