The Center recognizes that Islam is a universalfaith and a world civilization with a global community. Thus, theCenter provides a global, rather than regional, framework forexploring Islam. The Center for Global Islamic Studies supportsresearch, interdisciplinary academic programs, and communityoutreach. By providing educational and research opportunities forstudents, faculty, and visiting scholars, it is helping develop21st century leaders with a sophisticated understanding of thecomplex dynamics that shape Muslim communities worldwide.Position Responsibilities:• Maintains and updates the Center website in coordination withthe College of Humanities and Social Sciences web team;• Manages the Center’s social media presence and listserv;• Handles publicity for Center activities and video recording andvideo editing Center events and programs;• Works with Center leadership and staff to develop publicoutreach and communications strategies for Center activities usingvarious media;• Designs and creates digital and print promotional materials forthe Center and its programs, projects, and events;• Provides logistical support and assistance to Center staffduring in-person and virtual events, and he/she is expected to bepresent for in-person events to videorecord the proceedings;and• Assists with other Center work as needed.Please note that this is an in-person position.
