We are seeking a dynamic result-oriented Senior Director to lead and manage our global on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure as well as our public cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP and Azure. This role requires strong leadership and people management skills, transformation experience, and a deep technical expertise in Kubernetes and public cloud platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse, geographically distributed global team that operates on a 24/7 basis with a key focus on leveraging automation and implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure always-on reliable infrastructure operation. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and be comfortable hitting milestones and tight deadlines. They should demonstrate a high level of resilience, perseverance, dedication and be focused on delivering exceptional results in line with our company's goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
Oversee the operations and management of our on-prem Kubernetes infrastructure and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), ensuring reliable, scalable and secure 24/7 always ON operations.
Lead, manage, and develop a diverse global team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and phycological safe environment.
Lead and drive transformational initiatives to simplify and modernize our Kubernetes infrastructure technologies and optimize our operation.
Implement and promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and infrastructure-as-code practices within the team to improve reliability and performance.
Manage, collaborate and influence key stakeholders to align common goals and drive changes.
Foster a culture of intellectual honesty, accountability, sense of urgency and continuous improvement.
Promote continuous learning and innovation within the team, particularly around automation technologies, SRE best practices.
Use critical thinking and deep analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- Minimum of 10 years working experience with at least 5 years in leadership role in managing on-prem Kubernetes infrastructure and/or public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) s.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science / engineering or related discipline.
- Deep knowledge and proven working experience in managing Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure services, networking, security.
- Proven experience in leveraging automation tools and infrastructure-as-code techniques as a key strategy for managing infrastructure.
- Proven experience implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Strong people management and leadership skills with experience leading a geographically distributed team that operates 24/7.
- Experience in challenging the status quo and driving transformational changes and optimization in a technical environment.
- Excellent communication skill. Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and team-building skills. Able to conduct constructive debate and be comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
- Excellent critical thinking and deep analytical skills. Able to guide and mentor the team to solve complex technical challenges and problems.
- Any application development or management experience is a plus.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 173,400.00 to 271,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
