It Cybersecurity Specialist (infosec) Job at Naval Air Systems Command in Orland

Position Description This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Certain Competitive Service / Modified Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will serve as an Information Systems Security Officer for multiple Acquisition Program Integrated-Product Teams (IPT) and/or Research Development Test and Engineering Laboratories. You will guide other Cybersecurity personnel within the IPT/Labs to ensure information systems (IS) or platform information technology (PIT) systems are in compliance with DoD/Navy Cybersecurity policies and instructions. You will ensure Cybersecurity requirements are fully integrated into all phases of the acquisition, upgrade, or modification programs, including initial design, development, testing, fielding, and operation/sustainment. You will develop plans for the information or platform IT system assessment and authorization, evaluate assessments, recommend appropriate corrective action when deficiencies are identified and prepare required reports. You will ensure the development, review, endorsement and maintenance of Cybersecurity for the assessment and approval documentation in accordance with DoD and DON policy for all applications, networks, stand-alone systems.
