Job Description

People Management • Task and activity planning of team to ensure service is consistently delivered and resources are effectively deployed on shore and in our Share Service Centre. • Supporting the development of talent in our Shared Service Centre Strategic & Operational delivery: • Strategic Plans: support defining and delivering of agreed short term plans (1-2 years) of Procurement Operations team • Process Improvements: Support global process improvements and further automation and digitisation efforts • Deployment of processes & systems enhancements: Actively lead and support implementation of new enhanced processes and potential integrations, managing change effectively to ensure that new ways of working are documented and embedded successfully. Lead regional and support global deployment of system enhancements, additional functionalities and modules. • Buying Channels: Lead review and implement leading practice alternative buying channels. Monitor utilisation and success. • Training: Design and implement Ariba P2P training programme for Sourcing and business stakeholders. • Knowledge sharing: Act as SME, share experiences as process and system lead in Ariba (experience of Oracle & Concur is a plus). • Demand planning: through coordination and facilitation, lead planning of business demand on sourcing. Build sourcing projects pipeline and deal calendar, in collaboration with Category teams and Finance Business Partners, utilizing budgets and additional insights. • Data analytics & reporting: o Responsible for all Procurement MI (Management Information) to enable department strategic planning o Responsible for further development and delivery of accurate and on time delivery of Sourcing reports o Custodian for data standards within Europe Sourcing, collaborating with regional and global team members to ensure data integrity. Stakeholder Management regional and global peers’ relationships: • Collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders across Sourcing and ensure that regional requirements are fully discussed and embedded in the global solutions. • Identify and build relationships with key business stakeholders • Using knowledge and expertise to influence business to follow Procurement best practices • Liaise regularly with other support functions (e.g. Finance, Legal, Audit etc) as well as engaging effectively on a day-to-day basis with the core SAP/Ariba team. • Conduct and analyse periodic Europe Sourcing surveys. Collaboration: • Develop and deliver reporting formats which drives better decision making. • In line with Visa values, openly share information and collaborate with team members, peers and stakeholders to accelerate Europe Sourcing transformation.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

• Educated to degree level / CIPS qualification desirable
• Previous experience, a minimum of 10 years in an operations or similar role
• Track record of advanced data and analytics, evolving MI and performance management to
incorporate all procurement strategy, planning and reporting
• S2P/Ariba SME role within a large organization preferable
• Knowledge of Procurement Source to Pay with experience across procurement platforms
• Experience in design, documentation and deployment of end-to-end procurement processes
including Target Operating Model (TOM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and
templates for Source To Contract (S2C) and Procure To Pay (P2P) process.
• Track record of planning and executing project management with multiple delivery points
• Excellent knowledge of analysis tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, Tablue, Access etc).
• Experience of working successfully in a matrix organisation.
• Team player with energy, pace and a track record of delivery.
