Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on containerization to join our team, supporting a critical Federal project. In this role, you will play a key part in integrating and managing security practices within our development and operational processes.his role will lead the design, implementation, and management of containerized environments to support secure and scalable applications within the FDIC. The ideal candidate will bring a strong DevSecOps background, proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker, and a commitment to promoting secure practices in containerized infrastructures.


Job responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization tools.
  • Develop and enforce DevSecOps best practices, focusing on the integration of security at each stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the deployment of containerized applications, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Monitor containerized environments to detect, respond to, and prevent security vulnerabilities and breaches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate containerization into existing DevSecOps processes.
  • Design and execute strategies for container orchestration, resource allocation, and security hardening within Kubernetes clusters.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide guidance on containerization practices to engineering teams.
  • Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks on containerized applications, ensuring alignment with FDIC standards and policies.
  • Optimize container resource usage to achieve performance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational resilience.
  • Mentor junior DevSecOps engineers on containerization and DevSecOps practices, fostering a culture of security and continuous improvement.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the DevSecOps field, with a focus on security-driven development and deployment practices.
  • Proven experience as a Lead in containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining secure, scalable containerized environments.
  • Expertise in container orchestration, container security, and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP with a focus on secure container deployments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot
