Overview:
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of VP, Director IT Assurance. Primary Function: Responsible for providing testing governance and oversight to ensure necessary performance, function and security of information technology systems and solutions. Plays a critical role within the three lines of defense risk model.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating a strategic road-map and approach to testing that will ensure required performance, function and security of HVCU’s technology and applications.

Oversees annual Information Technology general controls testing on an annual basis and provides reporting of its outcomes

Oversees testing of major platform and application deployments, upgrades, and maintenance. Ensure testing practices follow best practices and are performed in a timely and efficient manner.

Creates testing standards to be followed and adhered to by all HVCU staff. Educates and guides business users on the importance of testing and their practices.

Stays current in emerging technology trends primarily related to the financial services industry.

Partners with HVCU’s project management team to ensure testing tasks and activities are incorporated into project plans. Works to create testing stage gates in project deliverables.

Collaborates closely with 2nd and 3rd line security functions to ensure appropriate IT security testing is planned and occurs. Works with those groups to create a roadmap of testing and unified method of reporting and tracking results.

Provides oversight, guidance and management to testing 3rd parties providing services to HVCU to achieve assurance goals in a cost effective manner.

Increases team capacity through the use of automated solutions to enable speed and agility in meeting business needs.

Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
