As the Vice President of Operations at MANE you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring the efficient and effective production and delivery of high-quality flavor products. You will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Collaborate with executive leadership to establish long-term plans and initiatives for operational growth and improvement.

Operational Management:
-
Lead, direct, and mentor a team of managers and supervisors across various operational functions, including production, supply chain, logistics, and quality assurance.

Ensure the efficient utilization of resources, including people, equipment, and facilities, to meet production targets and customer demands.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Production Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement production plans to meet customer requirements while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing lead times.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate production schedules, adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.

Supply Chain Management:

Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure an uninterrupted flow of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies.

Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor performance.

Implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce costs.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Develop and enforce quality control standards, procedures, and best practices across all operations.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and certifications.

Lead investigations into quality incidents or non-compliance issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with other departments such as R&D, sales, and marketing to align operations with market demands, product development, and sales strategies.

Participate in cross-functional meetings, provide operational insights, and contribute to the development of new products, processes, and business initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Leadership to the plant Operations group and gives direction to obtain goals and objectives supporting the overall business objectives.

Ensure Mane's operations are Safe, Environmentally Responsible and operate with the highest Ethics.

Provide Operations strategies for future production of Mane, Inc.

Provides leadership and direction for Mane's Operational Excellence program. (OPEX)

Develop and maintain the company’s strategic manufacturing plans, including contingency planning for major product lines.

Develop and maintain the operations annual budget.

Implement Capital projects for the efficient, safe operation of production.

Develop a secession plan for direct reports.

Uphold the highest standards via compliance to GMP, Food Safety Procedures, Quality Procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Develops and incorporates key operational benchmarks to work activities, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques to drive improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in operations management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.

Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in operations management, preferably within the flavor or food industry.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control practices.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, driving a culture of operational excellence.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of implementing process improvements and achieving operational targets.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Familiarity with relevant regulations and certifications related to flavor production and food safety.

Strong business acumen and the ability to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
