JOB DESCRIPTION: VP, Performance and Retail Media Strategy Lead
We are in search of an incredible business leader at Publicis Media Luxe to serve the role of Performance and Retail Media Strategy Lead within North America.
In this role, you will serve two functions:

Act as business lead for a set of Brands with an emphasis on performance strategy. In this role, you will take ownership and direct responsibility for driving integrated media solutions and management on your assigned brands and overall for the team. You will lead and direct strategy development and the writing of media plans – plus you’ll oversee client partnership, plan approvals and implementation, and business performance analysis.

Support our Investment & Productivity Lead as our Performance & Retail Media expert with a focus on our strategic approach to driving performance for each of LVMH’s Brand. In this role, you will partner with the channel teams to ensure we are orchestrating our investment across channels to deliver against defined brand business outcomes. As such, you will be able to speak fluently to current channel buying tactics while keeping a pulse on the partner landscape for new and innovative opportunities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of performance marketing channels, and the ability to influence a team of other leaders (not direct reports).
While the role is grounded in performance strategy, this person must have relevant luxury expertise, a passion for the category, and a strong proven history of client partnership and team management.
Day to day your role includes:
- Define full funnel strategic objectives and strategies to influence consumer behavior and drive business outcomes

Provide strategic thought leadership on how media fits within a connected marketing world and collaborate with account, technology, strategy, creative and data & analytics teams to ensure that media plans are strategically aligned, client needs are met and Publicis Media Luxe’s quality levels are upheld

Assume a substantial role on the core client team(s) to identify issues, develop new business opportunities with existing clients, and assist in the development of new client relationships

Demonstrate practical knowledge of integrated media channel planning with an emphasis on performance marketing strategies across various channels, including paid search, paid social, display, video, retail media and affiliate to drive consumer engagement and business outcomes

Act as bridge to specialty agencies for brands where Publicis Media Luxe does not have search & social remit

Define KPIs and establish performance benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in performance marketing, retail media, and e-commerce to identify new opportunities and innovative strategies for all brands

Spearhead retail media initiatives, including partnership with core retailers, agency experts, and technology platforms

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination between performance and brand strategies

Bring innovative solutions and out of the box thinking to partners and the clients

Be a leader through strength and stability - functioning as a point of escalation as needed
Qualifications
We’re looking for a VP/Director with outstanding experience that includes:

~10 years of Advertising and Marketing industry experience and ~5+ years of staff management and team leadership

Hands on retail media expertise required

Luxury experience, iconic brand (ie. Apple, Nike) or relevant category experience preferred (ie. high-end retail, beauty, wine & spirits)

Deep industry relationships with platforms, media partners, and ad tech firms

Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value and communicate that to our clients

Able to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities

Strategic thinking and able to see the bigger picture

Candidate must be prepared to be in the office regularly (3x/week), and at the client’s offices and/or media partner offices as often as needed

“Compensation Range: $115,500 - $144,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
