CNC Machinist/Programmer in Red Bank,NJ,US

POSITION SUMMARYThe CNC Lathe Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes. Primary function is making molds and associated fixtures/parts to support our rubber molding operation. Prior experience running CNC equipment is critical. The ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and using precision measuring equipment is essential. In addition, the CNC Lathe Machinist should have the ability to operate manual equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, drill press, etc.) Good communication skills and teamwork are necessary in this exciting, fast-paced environment. The position requires a 40-hour work week Monday through Friday. Overtime opportunities are frequently available.REQUIRED EDUCATIONHigh School diploma/GED;Technical/Vocation certificate is desirable;KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSTwo or more years CNC lathe experience;Experience with CNC mills a plus;Proficient with CAM software (SURFCAM Traditional or Mastercam preferred)Firm understanding of G-code used to program CNC equipment;Ability to read/interpret engineering prints and understand dimensional relationships;Ability to accurately use measuring instruments commonly employed in machine shop;Ability cooperate and communicate effectively with colleagues;Ability to understand manufacturing specifications and execute instructions properly;Physically able to work an eight (8) hour day;Ability to perform with minimal supervision or without supervision;Physically able to lift raw material and finished products under 50 pounds;
