Position Summary...What you'll do...The Director, Advanced Analytics - Governance & Strategy will be responsible for leading and managing business operations and strategic projects within the Analytics organization for Walmart eCommerce. This role will report directly to the Vice President of eCommerce Analytics and involve developing and managing strategic projects, optimizing business processes, and driving collaboration, accountability, and overall effectiveness for the Analytics function. The Director, Advanced Analytics - Governance & Strategy will play a key role in ensuring seamless end-to-end execution of critical projects and initiatives that will directly enable the growth of the Analytics function for Walmart eCommerce.Who you are• You are a thought leader that can thrive and lead analytics initiatives in a fast paced, rapidly growing, highly ambiguous, and challenging environment in the eCommerce space• You can foster collaboration between a large group of stakeholders and leverage your expertise to drive results and consensus• You are biased for action, relentless about driving and owning the goal and you are motivated by the responsibility of delivering the most crucial capabilities for long term growth• You have strong analytical skills and agility to strategically communicate the relationship between results and business outcomes to drive cross-organizational alignment• You can help launch growth initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform new tests, launch new initiatives, and establish success metrics and reporting• You are familiar with leading executive level discussions with a cross functional audience• You know how to obtain stakeholder buy-in and synthesize to present a compelling narrative and data-driven analysis to teams• You're detail-oriented, strategic thinker and curious• You're driven, with strong organizational and project management skillsYou'll make an impact by• Designing, socializing, and implementing governance processes to drive efficiencies and optimize decision making across teams• Building credibility within the eCommerce organization to become a trusted advisor for senior executives• Creating and presenting executive level communications that synthesize key takeaways and inform stakeholders• Driving coordination across stakeholders to ensure seamless end to end execution of strategic projects• Oversee all aspects of project management for key strategic projects including tracking and reporting on status, managing resources, and building out project plans, budgets, and timelines• Building a culture of continuous improvement by highlighting industry trends, measuring learnings and adoption within the Analytics function, and developing playbooks for future execution• Representing Analytics POV in relevant cross-functional forums ensuring a consistent message across the organization• Acting as the representative for Analytics in cross-functional meetings (e.g., strategic planning)• Prioritizing key initiatives with senior leaders• Acting as a liaison to key partner teams (i.e., Site Merchandising)• Presenting to executive leadership teamWhat you'll bring• 8-10 years of professional experience within a data driven eCommerce or digital marketing organization or Consulting firm; an MBA preferred• In-depth knowledge of eCommerce and / or experience working at a tech company• Fluency in translating complex data into actionable insights for multiple teams and demonstrated ability to drive operational changes• Strong analytical, quantitative, and project management skills• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts on behalf of business partners and to senior executives• Experience working cross-functionally among business stakeholders and technical teamsThe above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
