We are looking for a resourceful self - starter with experience in design -and ideally design systems - to join our award - winning team at the forefront of retail . I f you're a strong systems thinker and excited about t he possibility of having a direct impact on the day - to - day work of designers across our entire portfolio , you could be agreat fit for the Sr. Design Pr o gram Manager - Design Systems role.You'll report into the Head of Design Operations and work closely with the Design Director o n our Design System team as well as partners across design, research, product and e ngineerin g.A few examples of what you'll be responsible for :• Working with designers and design leaders across the entire Design organization to manage, track and prioritize new component requests• Managing backlogs and tracking active work across initiatives• Creating playbooks and documenting best practices• Manag ing ongoing communication of updates to Design System and rollout of new components• Onboarding new team members and supporting the creation of training for designers• Representing design in quarterly planning sessions with Product, Eng and TPMs• W orking with design leadership and cross - functional stakeholders to triage issues, resolve dependencies and p lan upcoming workYou'll make an impact by:• Solving problems big and small with curiosity and patience• Creating flexible processes that streamline the delivery of design work• Anticipating and caring for team challenges as they arise• Caring for team rituals that strengthen our design communityYou'll sweep us off our feet if:• You've worked to mature a Design System at another large corporation• You have experience supporting a large Design organization• You have a track record of influencing cross - functional p roduct partners and working horizontally across initiatives at a big company• You are an Airtable expert• You have a deep understanding and love for the design process• You'r e a process nerd who is energized by addressing friction in the design process and enjoys jumping into the weeds of day - to - day design activity• You are a confident communicator and strong advocate for design team s• You hold yourself to the same standards of craft as our designers• You are driven by e mpathy and motivated by the opportunity to impact the day - to - day experience of designers• You collaborate naturally , operate independently, and are comfortable giving and receiving feedback• You produce great work with quick turnarounds and multitask effectively across different activities• You are highly organized and have great attention to detail• You enjoy working in a fast - paced and ever - changing environment• You're excited by the prospect of support ing the teams that are directly shaping the future of retailPreferred Qualifications• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Design Operations, program management within cross - functional teams, or as an experienced design program manager.The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level ofwork performed in the role.
