Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Design Manager to join our airport development team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge airport projects in a historically significant location. As the Design Manager, you will lead and oversee the architectural and engineering design aspects of airport facilities, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and innovative solutions.

  • Lead and coordinate the design team, overseeing all aspects of airport facility design from concept to completion
  • Perform and review complex architectural and engineering calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with international standards
  • Prepare and review detailed specifications, reports, and data tables for airport design projects
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including design and drafting groups, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Prepare, review, and approve drawings at different stages of the design process
  • Manage and execute advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities across multiple disciplines and departments
  • Train and evaluate architectural and design/drafting personnel to maintain high standards of performance
  • Review and approve conceptual designs, ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements
  • Develop and implement new architectural methods and techniques to enhance efficiency and innovation in airport design
  • Ensure compliance with international airport design standards and local regulations
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in airport design or related large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex design projects from conception to completion
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design applications
  • In-depth knowledge of international airport design standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing design teams
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly
  • Experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and their application in airport projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Willingness to relocate to AlUla, Saudi Arabia, and work in a culturally diverse setting
