Position Summary...What you'll do...Walmart Commerce Technologies' mission is to enable businesses worldwide to better serve their customers with technologies and SaaS solutions powered by Walmart. Our team was established in 2022 and we are transforming scaled Walmart technologies into white-label offerings for other retailers and sellers. We've launched Store Assist, an out-of-the box, mobile-first store fulfillment application and are accelerating our pipeline of future products.As a Staff Software Engineer on the Walmart Commerce Technologies team you will have the unique opportunity to commercialize mature enterprise systems and enable them for a whole industry of retailers. You will be build ing a new Retail Media SaaS business and product and ensure operational and engineering excellence.As a seasoned engineer you will have a great opportunity to drive our technical strategy for this new product and lead a new team! This is a huge opportunity for career growth!What you'll do:Design and transform an existing internal system into a SaaS product.Make key technology decisions that will enable long term success.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve the product.Provide technical leadership for other engineers and set best practices as we grow our team.Understand the entire system end to end and break down complex tasks for the team.Diagnose and resolve system and reliability issues.Participate in building out the engineering team by conducting technical interviews.What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.8+ years of experience in software engineering.Expertise in working with technologies such as Java, Spring, React, NodeJS, SQL DatabasesExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.Experience working with large scale systems and event driven architectures.Strong communications and collaboration skills.About Walmart Global TechImagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
