Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master to guide and support our tech teams in delivering high-quality products efficiently. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate the Scrum process, uphold Agile principles, and help the team overcome obstacles to ensure steady progress toward project goals. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of Scrum, and a passion for fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Scrum Team: Serve as a servant leader for the Scrum team, facilitating Scrum events (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives) and ensuring the team adheres to Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies to foster transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Support the Product Manager: Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and understood by the team. Assist in backlog refinement and user story development as needed.
  • Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance to the team on Agile best practices, helping team members understand their roles and responsibilities within the Scrum framework. Promote a culture of self-organization and accountability.
  • Remove Obstacles: Actively identify and remove impediments or roadblocks that may hinder the teams progress, ensuring they stay on track to meet sprint goals.
  • - Drive Continuous Improvement: Work with the team to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Monitor and Optimize Processes: Ensure the teams Scrum processes are followed and optimized, regularly reviewing them to identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Insights: Track and report on key metrics related to team performance, sprint progress, and overall project health. Leverage data to drive decision-making and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Promote Transparency and Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders, radiating information about progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a tech or software development environment.
    • 4 to 5 years of experience applying Agile practices, specifically Scrum.
    • Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)).
    • Deep understanding of Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills, with a collaborative mindset.
    • Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc..
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of additional Agile frameworks (Kanban, Lean, XP) is a plus.
    • Experience in scaling Agile (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) or working in a multi-team Agile environment.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
