About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Accounting Manager within HR Payroll team. Looking for a candidate with Operational Accounting experience and strong leadership experience.In this role, you will:• Manage and develop a team of professionals responsible for operational accounting activities and transactions for multiple areas• Provide operational accounting support for internal business groups or operations departments• Set standards for monitoring the review of business group or customer financials and implement controls to ensure accuracy of data• Maintain advanced knowledge of current operational accounting practices and regulatory requirements• Enforce adherence to internal and external operational accounting standards and policies• Direct completion of complex operational accounting tasks pertaining to statements, systems and records• Develop methodologies and implement changes in internal operational accounting systems• Plan, design and direct the production of regulatory reports• Influence and negotiate with management on issues of policy or strategic direction• Continuously strive towards improving efficiency, effectiveness and experience for stakeholders and customers• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers• Lead team to achieve objectives• Interact either indirectly or directly with customers, clients or vendors• Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operational Accounting• Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talentRequired Qualifications:• 4+ years of Operational Accounting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education• 2+ years of Leadership experienceDesired Qualifications:• General ledger experience• Experience with Workday and/or Peoplesoft• Payroll system knowledge• Experience overseeing salary expense accounts.• Strong leadership skills• Experience with escalations• Experience managing and partnering with broader stakeholders, venders and internal employeesJob Expectations:• Position will require onsite presence in a hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days telecommuting) at one of the listed locations in Minneapolis, MNPay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
