JOB SUMMARY
Western Aircraft is hiring experienced A&P Maintenance Technicians responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and servicing of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday 7am-4pm (minimum 40 hours per week)
OR
Friday/Saturday/Sunday (three 12-hour shifts, compensated for 40 hours)
SIGN-ON BONUS
Up to $15,000 depending on relevant airframe experience
Duties & Responsibilities- Performs routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraft
- Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
- Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
- Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal toolbox
- Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
Qualifications & Job Requirements - Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with general aviation airframes supported by Western Aircraft
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities
- Broad knowledge of aircraft systems
- Able to work overtime as needed, evenings and weekends
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and demeanor
- Basic sheet metal skills and/or basic electrical capabilities considered a plus
- Gulfstream / Falcon / Embraer / Citation / Pilatus / Piper / King Air experience preferred
- Education:
- Airframe & Powerplant certifications required
Other Prerequisites- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Work Environment & Physical Requirements - Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 25 pounds overhead.
