Admissions Marketing Coordinator

As an essential part of the Health Services team, this position is vital to assisting residents with transitions through the continuum.  The position will establish and maintain accurate and detailed admissions and discharge records for the three care areas (Health Care, Catered Living and Vista), resident profiles and facilitate resident transitions in accordance with accepted standards.  Perform a variety of clerical tasks involving the preparation, maintenance and processing of new admissions paperwork and related data for the units.  


Responsibilities
  • First point of contact with potential new admissions, family members, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
  • Provides tour of all three care areas.
  • Work directly with hospital case managers, assisted living discharge planners, and case managers to promote WCBR health care services.
  • Conducts Uniform Assessment Instruments (UAI’s) and Individualized Support Plans (ISP’s).
  • Assigns an attending physician to all Healthcare Admissions.
  • Ensures DNR status, Living Wills and/or healthcare proxies are available, if applicable, at the time of admission.
  • Develops a marketing plan with the Health Care management team.
  • Responsible for maintaining room readiness on all healthcare suites and/or assisted living respite suites.
  • Coordinate packing and moving of rooms for internal moves and respite needs. 


Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule, coordinate, and implement activities with numerous details and multiple deadlines; ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to work with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
  • Ability to compose and edit correspondence, reports and summaries.
  • Ability to manage time and projects, exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to set a good example, maintain a professional appearance and manner, make a good impression, and work effectively with others; in person, in writing and through oral communications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, but not required
  • 1-3 years of UAI, ISP and admissions experience in either a senior living or hospital environment, preferred.
