Job Description Summary

The Wake Forest University School of Business is seeking qualified postgraduate candidates for a one academic year (July-June) Fellow position within the Center for Analytics Impact. This role supports the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program while also contributing to broader Center initiatives, including research, AI fluency development, event planning, and instructional support for other graduate programs.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Providing timely grading and student feedback to faculty for multiple classes.
  • Managing inquiries and correspondence with students related to course content.
  • Holding office hours to support students on a variety of relevant class topics.
  • Delivering help sessions and tutoring support to students (1-on-1 and group settings).
  • Supporting the Center’s Scholar projects through research, guidance, and operational assistance.
  • Developing AI-related instructional content, workshops, and training sessions for faculty and students.

Other Functions:

  • Developing new interactive assignments or case studies.
  • Curating new data sets for teaching and research purposes.
  • Supporting Center programming through research projects and experiential learning initiatives.
  • Providing classroom management support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the MSBA Program and the Center for Analytics Impact which could include Research projects within the Center for Analytics Impact, advising student teams, and Center for Analytics Impact programming.

The position will provide opportunities to participate in Research and possibly attend conferences as part of a development plan. This position offers a flexible work environment. However, there is an expectation that Fellow will be available to attend classes and meet with students on campus as dictated by their course assignments. Shared office space will be provided on campus.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in a STEM-related field such as business analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
  • Experience providing direct instructional support within a university environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience applying analytical methods in business settings.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Python, R, SQL, Canvas, and Tableau.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision on concurrent tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with diverse stakeholders (students, faculty, and staff).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interest in and willingness to contribute to AI and experiential learning initiatives.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience with AI applications in business education.
  • Prior event planning or coordination experience.
  • Familiarity with best practices in graduate-level teaching support.

  • Responsible for own work and contributing to the success of Center initiatives.
  • Expected to be available to attend classes and meet with students on campus as dictated by their course assignments.
