Location
This role will have the option to be in a Work From Near (Hybrid) capacity based out of one of the following offices: Charlottesville, VA, Durham, NC, Columbus, OH, or Boston, MA OR in a Work From Anywhere (Remote) for strongly qualified talent.
The Opportunity
As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be the first touch point for prospective clients looking to partner with WillowTree to achieve their Data & AI business goals. In partnership with our Business Development VPs on Fuel iX, our Gen AI Enterprise platform , and our Data & AI services team, you will ensure that all sales leads are vetted to better understand the client's needs and WillowTree’s potential to provide value.
You are the technical business leader responsible for identifying opportunities where WillowTree can innovate with clients, expertly steering these clients toward our SaaS offering or our professional services offering. This role will influence the Fuel iX roadmap, and help to drive revenue for our Data & AI services. You will contribute to and influence our GTM strategies and sales playbook for GenAI and Data & AI services, and drive customer and partner engagement by evangelizing our products virtually and by participating in industry events. This is a global role, with an emphasis on North America as we grow our practice.
Responsibilities
• Introduce WillowTree's business, proposition, people, and capabilities to new client prospects via calls/meetings
• Responsible for Fuel iX and Data & AI Services sales funnels (Fuel iX and Data & AI Services)
• Responsible for initial sales calls and qualification of leads
• Work with the account management team to nurture small deals into larger ones through the introduction of new products and features
• Actively look for ways to improve upon and optimize WillowTree’s existing business development procedures, systems, and processes
• Maintain awareness of AI industry best practices
• Represent WillowTree at conferences and industry events
Competencies
• 3+ years of software sales/business development experience in a cloud-native or digital product company
• Experience with technical business development, sales, strategic partnerships, and program/product management
• Strong grasp of complex technical problems
• A solution-driven seller who can identify opportunities to bring value to a client’s most pressing needs
• Industry experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technologies paired with an intellectual curiosity about the market and trends in the Data & AI space
• Experience in describing and selling technical cloud services or software technology products
• Detailed-oriented with a focus on prioritization
