Maintenance Technician II (Oakwood Apartments)

WinnCompanies is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team at a 241-unit property located in Moreno Valley, CA. 

 

Carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and you! These are some of the most important things we need to maintain our properties and keep our residents happy. If you’re looking to make a difference with your technical knowledge and excellent customer service, then we want to hear from you. 


In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds, and parking lots. This position requires a highly diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership and management objectives. .


This position is offering a pay range of $26.00 to $27.00 hourly. On-site housing may be available if needed. This opportunity offers a typical work schedule: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm with an on-call rotational schedule of 2 weeks per month.


Responsibilities
  • Performs repairs for a variety of areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, as well as basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. 
  • Completes assigned service requests and repairs to company standard. 
  • Helps prepare empty apartments to be ready for next round of tenant move-ins. 
  • Maintains grounds through trash management and landscaping. 
  • Complete all resident and site work orders in a timely manner. 


Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in residential/apartment maintenance 
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and carpentry 
  • Familiarity with computers and tablets.
  • Availability for rotational on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English. 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. 


Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or Technical training. 
  • CAMT Certification. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
