World Relief seeks a Refugee School Impact Admin and Parent Orientation Specialist. The Admin and Parent Orientation Specialist for Refugee School Impact balances responsibilities of maintaining an organized system to keep track of clients and how/when they are served through physical and virtual filing systems as well as interacting with and visiting all clients enrolled in RSI with the goal of introducing RSI, informing them of the services RSI provides, and stressing the importance and benefits of early education for preschool-aged children.


Role & Responsibilities
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Keep track of clients referred and served
  • Maintain organized files with the proper documents for all clients
  • Maintain organized virtual documentation of all clients referred and served
  • Visit the home of clients to introduce RSI and inform them of the various classes offered
  • Assess all students of the proper age (2-5) for physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Communicate with colleagues of clients visited and informed
  • Communicate with clients on upcoming classes or any changes to the class schedule
  • Prepare at-home learning resources given to families
  • Maintain RSI supplies required for home visits
  • Assist parents in the enrollment of their children into PreK and K
  • Assist in the vaccination appointments, the SPC appointments, and the providing of uniform/supplies required for Kindergarten students
  • Equip families with the tools and knowledge necessary for future school enrollments for their children
  • Help co-workers with their respective classes when necessary


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of the FWISD system and procedure for school enrollment for PreK and K
  • Willingness to drive to various homes and locations
  • Boldness in stressing to resistant families the importance of educating, practicing English, and socializing children from an early age
  • Organizational skills to keep track of client referrals received, client information, and various ways each client is served
  • Detail-oriented in order to maintain proper documentation of clients and services provided by RSI for reporting and auditing requirements
  • People skills in order to gain clients’ trust and make them feel valued and safe
  • Relaxed and composed in chaotic environments or awkward situations
  • Able to create effective work plans for the day while remaining efficient when plans and circumstances change


Requirements
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid US Driver's License and good driving record
  • Willingness to drive to various homes and locations across the DFW metroplex
  • Prior experience working with Early Childhood children
  • Nonprofit case-worker experience a plus
  • Must work well to represent the program to the Fort Worth Community


$22 - $22 an hour

- Eligibility: Full Time (40 hours per week) is eligible after 3 months of employment. Part time is eligible after 1000 hours in a year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations

·         The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds.

·         Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.

·         The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

·         General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.

·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.

·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.

·         Physical, emotional and intellectual demands

·         Equipment used: Employee computer (desktop or laptop), printer, and copier.
