Arene’s mission is to empower Toyota and its partners to deliver next-generation vehicles with hardware-agnostic software that can be updated to support new features at any time.


The Execution Excellence team ensures that quality is built into the product from the very beginning and strives to constantly improve processes and frameworks within Arene Engineering.


We value the principles of the Toyota Production System and believe that thoroughly applying its methodology enables us to produce safe software in the highest quality and in the most efficient way.


The Arene Operations Team ensures that information on Arene is readily available to stakeholders in the required form and quality. 


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is excited to drive the adoption of the Arene platform, which we provide SDKs and Tools for Software developers, and the speed of development building on Arene by providing thorough and well-structured documentation.

The successful candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys creating frameworks from scratch and never stops improving the status quo.


You will report to the Team Lead of Operations, Execution Excellence Department, and the role is hybrid - you will work in the office at least 4 days per week.



RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and/or copyedit artifacts such as product documentation, release notes, API documentation and tutorials for Arene's users, internal stakeholders and business partners 
  • Work directly with subject matter experts to gather information and create content using strong interpersonal skills and customer-service skills
  • Manage and enforce central documentation policies
  • Continuously improve the documentation processes, quality and user experience


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in technical writing, translation, computer science, or similar
  • Minimum 5 years experience creating technical documentation in the software field
  • Knowledge of versioning control tools such as GitHub
  • Knowledge of Documentation workflows 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts
  • Native-level English skills


NICE TO HAVES
  • Experience in Japanese-to-English translation
  • Business-level Japanese
  • Experience in managing documentation processes
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other Quality Management Systems
