Lead Graphic Designer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Lead Graphic Designer to join our innovative marketing team at Badger. As the Lead Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually captivating designs that communicate our Brand and resonate with our target audience. If you have a deep understanding of sustainable design principles, a flair for creativity, and a commitment to organic living, we would love to have you on our team.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Creative Direction: Provide artistic direction and guidance, ensuring all visual elements align with our brand's values and aesthetics.
  • Visual Design: Create visually stunning designs for a wide range of marketing materials, including packaging, labels, digital assets, print collateral, advertisements, and social media graphics.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency in our brand's visual identity, including color palettes, typography, imagery, and sustainable design elements.
  • Collaborative Design: Work closely with the marketing team, copywriters, and other stakeholders to develop designs that effectively convey our brand's messages and meet campaign objectives.
  • Sustainable Design Practices: Incorporate sustainable design practices into all design deliverables, minimizing environmental impact and promoting eco-consciousness.
  • Quality Control: Conduct meticulous reviews of design deliverables to ensure accuracy, visual coherence, and adherence to project requirements and timelines.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable packaging innovations to infuse fresh and innovative ideas into our brand's visual communication strategies.
  • Project Management: Efficiently manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, feedback, and guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development in sustainable design practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to enhance design processes, workflows, and sustainability initiatives within the team and contribute to our brand's mission of promoting organic and sustainable living.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience as a graphic designer, showcasing a strong portfolio of sustainable design projects and experience in the CPG organic industry
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainable design principles, including eco-friendly materials, packaging design, and environmentally conscious practices
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate our organic brand's concepts into visually compelling designs
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency and quality across various design deliverables
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
  • Leadership skills to provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback to junior designers in sustainable design practices
  • Familiarity with current design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sustainable graphic design
