Additional Job Description:

West Virginia University School of Medicine, the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, and the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute seek a Neuropsychiatrist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.  

 

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of neuropsychiatry. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.  

 

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a general psychiatry residency program and neuropsychiatry fellowship program. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. 

 

Within the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, there is a strong collaborative focus on clinical service, teaching, and scholarship among psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workersThe Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry is dedicated to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in fostering a multicultural pluralistic environment.    

The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually. The 300+ physicians and scientists of the RNI improve lives by pioneering advances in neuroscience, brain health, and therapeutics. The RNI team uses the latest technologies with academic, government, and industry partners to make tangible progress to combat public health challenges ranging from addiction to Alzheimer’s disease.
