To accelerate our growth and success, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our legal team. This role focuses on contracts management and compliance, providing vital support to ensure the organization operates efficiently while minimizing risk. You will manage key legal processes with our business units and outside counsel. Outcomes – Problems You’ll Solve
The Corporate Paralegal role will centralize and improve several legal processes, including:
- Efficient contracting: Review and support contract drafting across a number of areas including corporate MSAs, NDAs, Land Leases, IP agreements, and more. You will improve processes to address key liabilities early while accelerating deal execution. Where necessary, you will help manage effective interactions with outside counsel.
- Compliance: Identify and resolve compliance gaps including state and federal regulations. Manage filings for Zanskar entities, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Documentation Management: Develop efficient document management practices to maintain organized contracts, filings, and compliance records for investor audits and fundraising.
Competencies – What We’re Looking For
- Experienced in contract negotiation: Exceptional ability to draft, review, and edit precise legal contracts to protect company interests. Ideal candidates have experience in renewable energy or real estate development industries.
- Self-starter: Self-motivated in identifying and addressing legal risks and compliance gaps. Can research new regulations, effectively utilize resources, and find answers for themselves.
- Tech-enabled builder: Has built new processes and applied technologies such as AI to pragmatically meet business objectives.
- Business savvy: Balances legal risk and business goals to provide actionable recommendations across a number of objectives and maintaining agility while not adhering to malicious compliance or being overly risk averse.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work with multi-functional teams and outside counsel to influence outcomes and drive consensus among parties.
