Senior Tax Accountant

Job DescriptionNavigate Search is on the lookout for a Senior Tax Accountant to become part of our esteemed client's team in Westchester County, NY!Key Responsibilities• Prepare and review income tax provisions, ensuring accuracy in book-to-tax adjustments, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and handling uncertain tax positions.• Complete and file federal, state, local, and foreign income tax returns, while ensuring compliance with current regulations.• Lead the annual process for tax return extensions and estimated tax payments, maintaining precise accounting records.• Review informational filings, including but not limited to Forms 5471 and 1042, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.• Oversee tax-related aspects of fixed and intangible assets, including detailed analysis of tax depreciation and amortization.• Coordinate data collection for U.S. Research Tax Credit studies and manage state tax apportionment reports.• Manage responses to inquiries and audits from tax authorities, conducting research and preparing supporting documentation.• Research complex tax issues, providing detailed documentation and support for tax reporting and compliance efforts.• Participate in special projects, such as tax planning strategies and M&A tax analysis.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree in Taxation is a plus.• CPA designation is highly preferred.• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax accounting principles.• Strong experience in tax accounting, ideally within a multinational or large corporate environment.• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing income tax provisions and returns.• Familiarity with tax technology tools, particularly Oracle EPM-TRCS.• Expertise in managing tax-related fixed and intangible assets, including tax depreciation and amortization analysis.Company DescriptionOur client is a leading tax resolution firm dedicated to helping individuals and businesses resolve complex tax issues with the IRS and state tax agencies.Our client is a leading tax resolution firm dedicated to helping individuals and businesses resolve complex tax issues with the IRS and state tax agencies.
