UX Designer, Operations Tools

As a UX Designer in the operations domain, you will demonstrate your creativity, analytical, visualization, and prototyping skills, and knowledge of user-facing solutions to demonstrate the best product experiences, launch innovative features, and build internal tools that accelerate our operation.

• Collaborate with UX designers, UX researchers, product managers, and engineers to create products for Zoox internal users
• Stay abreast of company strategy and understand deeply about internal users
• Improve Zoox internal tools, design interaction and interface based on Zoox design principles
• Build prototypes with appropriate fidelity, conduct user research and ensure building a correct solution
• Communicate design decisions and deliver design guidance with high standard to engineers
• Communicate the user experience at various stage of the design process with the users and cross functional partners

• 4+ years of experience in UX design
• Strong prototyping experience and in shipping product features
• Ability to understand technical constraints and limitations as they apply to design decisions
• Portfolio demonstrating design process, decision making, prototypes and visual design
• Experience working in autonomous vehicle, mobility, or automotive industries
• Experience working on multimodal interactive product
• Experience working on internal or enterprise products
• Experience in building and shipping products that are ambiguous in scope
• Background in 3D animation, spatial design, or industrial design

• Development of internal tools, enterprise software, analytical tools
• Ability to advocate for Design consistency with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders 
• Experience knowledge of user-centered design principles, familiarity with accessibility standards, inclusive design practices, and accessibility features
• Experience in AV/EV industry

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $118,000 to $189,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
