Zumo is the FCA registered, blockchain-powered digital asset partner for individuals and institutions.  

Zumo App, our consumer crypto wallet, allows individuals to exchange, store, send and spend cryptocurrency alongside their ordinary money.  

Zumo Enterprise, our B2B crypto-as-a-service platform, helps banks and financial institutions to roll out compliant and ESG-aligned crypto products.

Job Purpose

If you love collaborating with people across an organisation to bring data Insights that help your company make informed decisions and optimise business operations, then this is the role for you. 

We’re looking for a curious and motivated Individual to join our Data team at Zumo as a Data Analyst. Somebody with a passion for data, who is a keen collaborator, and advocates for how great data and analytical practices can help organisations make better decisions.   

The role of the Data Analyst within our scale-up organisation will see you Interacting with members of our talented team from all departments - you will utilise your broad skillset of sourcing, wrangling, visualising, and performing complex analysis to provide analytical solutions to their business challenges. 

Reporting line 

We are looking for a data analyst who has 2-5 years of experience in analytical roles.  You will be reporting to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer and will work alongside other analysts In the Data team. 

Salary 

£35,00-£40,000p/a 

Key duties and responsibilities 

The key duties in this role Include: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analysis plans 
  • Contribute to the enhancement of established ETL processes in our AWS stack to integrate additional data sources 
  • Create detailed and insightful reports that summarise findings and recommendations 
  • Use storytelling techniques to communicate complex data insights effectively 
  • Support data governance by identifying and working with the wider team to address data quality issues, such as missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies 
  • Promote data literacy across the organisation by supporting roadshows on data activities  

The key competencies for this role are: 

Skills:  

  • Coding skills: SQL (advanced) & Python, PySpark beneficial but not essential 
  • Visualisation & Reporting experience through packages other than Excel, e.g. Power BI (beneficial), Tableau 
  • Strong communication skills - has the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences to different levels within an organisation, and is able to write clear documentation on technical projects, as well as translate workflows into logical sequences 

Experience:  

  • Degree level qualification in data science, mathematics, statistics or other numerical discipline 
  • Successful track record in delivering data-driven solutions with limited senior support
