Job Description

The Sales Training Specialist at Guardant Health will help execute our learning and development strategy by implementing various activities that support our key objectives. Functional contributions will include helping deploy role-based learning paths that foster ongoing skill development in the areas of product knowledge, selling skills and general business acumen. In collaboration with the Associate Director of Sales Training and other team members, this role will help align future training initiatives with organizational priorities to successfully address critical business needs and continually improve our ability to meet the needs of the commercial organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the subject matter expertise needed to effectively facilitate both virtual and classroom-based workshops.
  • Independently plan and lead new hire training courses, product launch training and advanced training workshops.
  • Establish and leverage a broad network of internal and external subject matter experts to effectively meet diverse training needs.
  • Manage communication, coordination and other logistical requirements that are needed to successfully execute future training workshops.
  • Evaluate and recommend the appropriate training modalities to improve knowledge retention and satisfaction among workshop attendees.
  • Propose new ideas to continually refine operational processes related to deployment of training workshops.
  • Attend ongoing Train the Trainer programs to achieve certifications in workshop delivery and facilitation of different topics (both virtual and in-person).
  • Assess and prioritize potential personal areas for ongoing growth and development.

Qualifications

  • Skills/Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience in one or more of the following industries: Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medical Device
  • Very strong communication skills.
  • Effective virtual presentation skills.
  • Able to successfully lead and influence without authority
  • Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of the following computer software programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, and SharePoint.
  • Able to work independently and within cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead small working groups in successfully achieving milestones and project goals.
  • Able to collaborate and partner with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of sales training experience
  • Travel required up to 40%

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $83,100 to $112,230. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
