HR Generalist

We are a well-established land management company with a commitment to excellence and growth. We're seeking a passionate HR professional to join our team and help drive our success.

Job Overview:

The Human Resource Generalist will manage the daily functions of the Human Resource department including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including posting jobs, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions
  • Administer comprehensive onboarding programs for new employees and implement employee recognition initiatives
  • Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including setting up and managing state taxes
  • Respond to and set up wage garnishments in compliance with legal requirements
  • Handle workers' compensation claims and maintain related documentation
  • Administer employee benefits, leave, and compensation programs
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and employment law updates
  • Track and document mandatory and non-mandatory training requirements
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of human resource management experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting and onboarding
  • Payroll administration experience, including state tax setup
  • Experience handling wage garnishments
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with HR technology and applicant tracking systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP certification
  • Workers' compensation claims management experience
  • Experience in a full-service HR role

Salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)
