Our Summer Internship Program is designed for ambitious, curious, and driven students looking to gain hands-on experience at a leading fintech company that’s reshaping the way people manage and understand their money. 

From product innovation to data science, marketing, engineering, and beyond—you’ll work on real projects, solve real problems, and contribute to meaningful work that supports our mission.

Location: NYC Office, expected full time schedule

Duration: 10 Weeks | June -August, 2025

What You'll Do 

We are looking for a Backend Engineering Intern who is passionate about Java and eager to build production-quality backend systems. You’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world services and APIs in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, while contributing to features used by millions of users.

  • Improve consistency and quality across backend services.
  • Enhance RESTful APIs and maintain API documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and PMs to apply best practices.
  • Integrate tools, expand tests, and update documentation.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable Java code.
  • Join code reviews, stand-ups, and sprint ceremonies.

Who You Are

  • A current undergraduate or graduate student, rising junior/senior preferred
  • Passionate about Fintech, innovation and helping others to make smarter financial decisions
  • You have a strong foundation in JavaJava is a must for this role.
  • You’ve explored (or are eager to learn) frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA.
  • You’ve worked with (or studied) RESTful APIs and understand how systems communicate.
  • You’re comfortable using SQL or NoSQL databases to store and query data.
  • You’ve used Git and are familiar with tools like IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, and (optionally) Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS.
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • You’re curious, motivated, and excited to grow as a backend engineer.
  • Demonstrated organization, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Highly detail oriented, meticulous, and creative
  • Proficient in Google Workspace products (i.e. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)

This is a paid internship opportunity with an hourly rate ranging from $25–$30/hour, depending on role and qualifications.
