Revenue Cycle and Billing Specialist - job 1 of 2

Phoenix is looking for a dynamic, team oriented individual to join our Springfield office!

This candidate is responsible for the timely billing of various services provided by Phoenix Home Care and Hospice. The ideal candidate must possess a great working attitude while exercising accountability and professionalism with an eye for details in a fast-paced busy and fun atmosphere. BILLING AND COLLECTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding of Medicare regulations
  • Submit claims in a timely manner according to payer regulations
  • Submit claims in a timely manner according to payer regulations
  • Recognize and update prebilling errors
  • Ensure proper follow up using AR (Aging Reports), EOB's (Explanation of Benefits), and/or other correspondence
  • Recognize payment errors (using payer contracted rates)
  • Abide by HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate well with peers and administration
  • Perform other duties as assigned
