Career Services Marketing and Career Closet Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Behrend is accepting applications for a part-time Career Services Assistant.

The Career Services Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the department's efforts to market services and manage the Career Closet. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, creative, and passionate about helping students succeed professionally.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Outreach

  • Promote career services through various channels, including social media, print, and video formats using tools such as Express and Canva.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts with student organizations, residence halls, workshops, luncheons, and open houses to expand awareness of career services offerings.

Career Closet Management

  • Oversee the Career Closet inventory and upkeep, ensuring items are well-maintained and organized.
  • Facilitate clothing dry cleaning, process student requests, and track inventory using the designated system.

Event Support

  • Assist with planning and execution of events such as Career Fairs, Employer Information Sessions, and other department initiatives.

Additional Duties

Working Hours:
10–15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.


Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools like Express and Canva
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
