Job Overview:


As a Master Scheduler you will develop, maintain, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) programs. The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in ensuring the program’s schedule aligns with project objectives, milestones, and deliverables, while facilitating coordination across cross-functional teams. This position requires expertise in scheduling tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on cutting-edge ASV technology.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain the IMS: Create and manage a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the ASV program using industry-standard scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar).
  • Schedule Integration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and testing teams to integrate their schedules into the IMS, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
  • Critical Path Analysis: Identify and monitor the critical path, dependencies, and risks within the IMS, providing actionable insights to mitigate delays and optimize resource allocation.
  • Baseline Management: Establish and maintain schedule baselines, track variances, and implement change control processes to manage scope, schedule, and resource adjustments.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on schedule performance, including earned value management (EVM) metrics (e.g., SPI, CPI), and provide regular updates to program leadership.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify schedule risks and work with stakeholders to develop contingency plans and recovery schedules as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for schedule-related inquiries, delivering clear and concise updates to internal teams, management, and external partners.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Compliance: Ensure the IMS complies with contractual requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the IMS, including assumptions, constraints, and decision logs.


Qualifications
  • Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, with at least 2 years managing complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Experience in defense, maritime, or autonomous systems programs is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and metrics.
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime vessel programs is a plus.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex schedules, identify risks, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Attention To Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing schedules and tracking progress.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and build strong working relationships.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) or unmanned systems programs.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) scheduling and reporting requirements.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP).
  • Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one is preferred.
