Overview
Under direct supervision, collects blood samples by performing venipunctures, finger or heel sticks on patients, ensures the quality of blood and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of the patient, following established standards and practices.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Completion of an accredited program in phlebotomy is preferred. Certification as a registered phlebotomist by a nationally recognized Phlebotomy Society, such as the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience as a phlebotomist is preferred. Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Schedule - Monday 9:30am - 6pm and Tuesday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Here, you’ll not only collect blood samples through various techniques like venipunctures and fingersticks, but you’ll also play a significant role in ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your work will involve utilizing a computerized system to log and track specimens while effectively communicating with both lab and medical staff to ensure the accuracy and proper handling of each sample. Performing under direct supervision, this position requires someone who can handle situations quickly, especially during STAT requests. A critical aspect of this role is your ability to stand for long periods and maintain a steady workflow while ensuring that each procedure is carried out smoothly and efficiently. We prefer candidates who have completed an accredited program in phlebotomy and have certification from a recognized Phlebotomy Society. While a high school diploma is essential, having at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting will certainly give you an edge.
