Painter (Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes) - job 1 of 3

WinnCompanies is searching for a Painter to join our military housing team at Fort Drum, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for painting homes, primarily interiors. You will also complete other site responsibilities and projects as assigned.


Please note that the pay range for this position is $18.94 to $19.15 per hour, depending on experience. Final salary will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.


Responsibilities
  • Paint both the exterior and interior of homes, common areas, and community offices and buildings.
  • Perform all painting in accordance with schedule issued by management.
  • Apply texture to ceilings and walls using an air texture applicator and hopper.
  • Ensure proper protection of unpainted surfaces through the use of drop cloths, tarps, tape, masking, and paint shields.
  • Maintain a vehicle inventory or paint equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain all equipment in as clean and neat a condition as possible.
  • Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as the position requires.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint and sealants for different applications.
  • Knowledge of multiple painting methods, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure respirator health and capacity if working on a property that paints with sprayers.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
  • This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • 1-3 years of trade or apprentice experience.


$18.94 - $19.15 an hour
