We've built Europe's best-connected broadcast centre at Stockley Park, London, distributing 35,000 hours of content globally and creating some of the world's best sporting coverage. European Tour Productions produce and distribute golf coverage of the DP World Tour, The Challenge Tour, The Ryder Cup and The Open. In this capacity, ETP has produced the live coverage for hundreds of events around the world and not just in Europe. We travel to events in the middle east, Asia and Africa and have produced the last twelve Ryder Cups and The Open since 2016. In 2021, and despite COVID restrictions we delivered over 850 hours of live world feed golf coverage. Our award winning original and branded content is expanding, and we also produce a broad range of content for social media channels and The DP World Tour website.

With up to 50 events annually across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, we are the largest producer of live golf coverage globally.
As an Assistant Producer reporting to the Head of Golf and Executive Producer, you'll become a key player in our 'Live' production team. Your role will involve crafting captivating content for live European Tour Golf programming both in the office and on location.
Here's a glimpse of what you'll dive into:
- Creating engaging VT elements for inclusion in our broadcasts.
- Collaborating with an EVS operator for analysis, replays, and diverse VT components.
- Taking charge of graphics to enhance the viewer experience.
Our ideal candidate thrives in the high-energy atmosphere of live TV broadcasting. Calm under pressure, you work with professionalism and initiative, making sound decisions without constant supervision. A solid grasp of sports and a particular interest in golf will stand you in good stead.
Prior experience in live OB broadcasting is favourable, as well as Production Health & Safety Training.
This opportunity is tailor-made for those pursuing a rewarding career in sports production within the thrilling realm of 'live' outside broadcasts. Keep in mind that this role entails international travel for up to 20 weeks a year.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with opportunity for a future permanent role. The role is based at our office in Stockley Park, Uxbridge and there will be international travel involved throughout the year, plus some remote productions which will involve working unsocial hours at Stockley Park.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
To assist the Producer and Director in all editorial aspects of the live golf programming, both in the office, on remote productions and on location.
To continue to learn and develop their skill set in a range of roles on the live production team, for which having previous Live Gallery experience is helpful. Roles include but are not limited to....
VT Edit AP – Create bespoke VT elements to be used throughout the programme, including for high-profile flagship events like the Scottish Open, the BMW PGA Championship, and the season finale DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. For example, coordinating opening teases, vignettes, and historical look backs.
News AP – Build update packages and responsible for playing out all inserts / interviews, knowing when they are editorially relevant and will enhance the quality of the programme. Handling high pressure moments calmly, offering the right replays / high frame rate reactions.
Graphics Producer – Oversee the graphic elements which are incorporated into the live programme.
To generate ideas for upcoming editorial programming. Researching event storytelling, including event and location history, as well as high-profile player appearances.
To research, prepare and edit packages on Adobe Premiere Pro, that will be broadcast on the World Feed.
Have a good knowledge and be fully competent in editing on Adobe Premiere.
To have experience of directing basic 2 camera shoots for interviews, features and stand ups with contributors.
To be able to confidently write original scripts for features and packages.
To be comfortable adhering to broadcaster/clients briefs and deadlines.
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
Experience of working on live outside broadcasts.
Keen sports enthusiast – golf knowledge helpful but not essential.
Experience of working in a live environment.
Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Competent in editing, shooting and script writing.
Able to demonstrate excellent research ability and attention to detail.
An understanding of digital workflows
Proven experience of working in a team.
Ability to motivate and guide more junior members of the team.
Health and Safety Production Training is helpful but not essential.
