Business Area and Team

Pre-Sales are part of the Xceptor’s Go-To-Market department alongside Sales and Revenue Operations. At Xceptor, Pre-Sales play a vital role in the sales cycle - they support the sales process by leveraging technical expertise to demonstrate the value Xceptor products bring to clients working collaboratively with teams across the business including Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Development, and Product.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Pre-Sales Consultant with a proactive approach and a positive attitude to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in helping to define what comes next and will enjoy taking responsibility for identifying and solving issues, creating innovative solutions with a client-centric approach. You will provide comprehensive support to the Sales and Customer Engagement teams, in order to aid new client acquisition and ongoing account development.

The nature of our software means it can meet a very wide range of business requirements. There are endless ways to improve efficiency for our clients. A key part of this role will be to understand their extremely varied business processes and design solutions and software demonstrations to outline and evidence how we can help.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Sales and Customer Engagement Managers with new sales and account development. Developing a solid understanding of customer-specific challenges through detailed requirements gathering workshops.
  • Designing and configuring solution demonstrations that exceed customer expectations.
  • Managing Proof of Concepts and Pilots end-to-end.
  • Assisting with responding to RFIs/RFPs and other technical questions.
  • Working closely with other Pre-Sales consultants to share knowledge and provide support, as necessary.
  • Collaborating with the Delivery team to estimate project effort and prepare Statements of Work.
  • Attending events and collaborating with Marketing on various assets and collateral.
  • Feeding back intelligence, customer feedback and new enhancement ideas to Product and Development.
  • Assisting with new product feature testing where necessary.

Key Skills

  • Technical Requirements SQL Server and basic SQL, Excel, XML
  • Highly competent in gathering client requirements and managing client workshops.
  • Highly competent in preparing and delivering software product demonstrations.
  • High competent in managing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) through Pre-Sales or equivalent experience.

  • Degree in business, computer science, finance or related fields highly desirable.

Salary DOE - $130,000 + commission
