Senior 3D Designer / Team Lead:

The Role

This is a leadership position for our 3D Design team. You will be responsible for leading a team of designers building our 3D rendered store. In addition to leading the current team you will be actively working in the tools on creative environment design, advanced 3D modeling of spaces and rendering. You will be designing virtual stores that will run on the Obsess web platform while also supporting and mentoring other 3D designers on the team.

This position is based out of our office in New York City and is not a hybrid or remote role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant visual art or technical fields such as Computer Animation, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or Computer Science
• Extensive experience in 3D modeling of spaces - from architectural visualization, retail design, lookdev, or interior design
• Expert level knowledge of Maya, 3dsMax, and Vray
• In-depth knowledge of 3D production pipeline and workflow, including modeling, texturing and rendering
• Extensive experience with Photoshop and Adobe creative suite
• Good understanding of most CG techniques: animation, motion graphics, compositing, visual effects, modeling and rendering
• Experience as a mentor, team leader, or manager
• Ability to offer technical, creative, aesthetic, and practical input into decision-making processes
• Luxury high-end aesthetic and eye for style
• Extreme attention to detail
• Hardworking and reliable
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in the following softwares a plus: After Effects, Illustrator, Substance, Designer/Painter, Nuke, Houdini, Blender, Unreal, Unity, Redshift, Arnold
• Experience in the following scripting/programming languages is a nice-to-have: C/C++, Python, Javascript, MEL, Vex

Compensation

$115,000 - 125,000 

Salary ranges represent the expected base compensation for this position. Where a candidate lands in the published range is based on experience.
