Technical Designer (hybrid/remote)

Abstraction is a Dutch game development studio aiming to deliver cutting-edge game experiences. Specializing in both technically and creatively demanding projects, we have collaborated on renowned IPs like Halo, Dune, Mass Effect, and Baldur’s Gate. Our portfolio boasts over 60 titles, reflecting our commitment to quality and technical prowess. We're not just partners with industry giants such as BioWare/EA, 343/Microsoft, Funcom, Sega, and others; we're innovators in our field.

We are looking for a Technical Designer to join our growing design team. Your focus will lie in helping our tech team with scripting tasks, work closely with our systems designers where you will test and tweak the systems, as well as own some gameplay features.

You will join a AAA FPS project that is in production now.

What Will You Be Doing At Abstraction 

  •  Support our design team in testing the systems and collaborate with our programming team on scripting

  •   Work on complex interfaces within the engine  and systems  

  •  Create and own one or several own gameplay features

What You Will Bring Along 

  • Several years of experience in a technical systems/game design or technical design role

  • Scripting experience (game scripting and not visual scripting only)

  •  Programming skills

  • Knowledge and experience working with systems

  • Multi-disciplinary experience working with programming and design to solve

  • Knowledge in FPS
