AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Flint, MI office. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
Provides guidance to graduate level engineers
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
Co-ordinates with other disciplines, sub-consultants, contractors and regulatory reviews
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant Water/Wastewater and/or water conveyance industry experience
Michigan PE license
Experience managing projects
