Job Title: Shear OperatorJob DescriptionThe Shear Machine Operator will be responsible for operating shear machines to cut materials according to blueprints, drawings, and written instructions. This role requires precision, adherence to quality standards, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.Responsibilities• Follow blueprints, drawings, and written instructions to accurately measure and cut pieces using a shear machine.• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.• Perform routine maintenance on shear machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.• Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.• Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule work orders.• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.• Keep accurate records of production data and work performed.• Adhere to quality control standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Essential Skills• Proficiency in using a tape measure.• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.• Experience with shear and saw operation.• Machine operating skills.• Fabrication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications• Strong shop math skills.Why Work Here?Health benefits premiums are 100% covered for employee-only, and extremely affordable for the entire family.
