As the Trainer, Learning & Development, you will develop and facilitate effective onboarding and professional development learning solutions for our organization. Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Development, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to create engaging and impactful learning content, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s and team’s goals and objectives, and facilitate innovative training sessions with dynamic and adaptive facilitation skills. Success in this role requires expert facilitation and instructional design skills, project and time management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality learning solutions that enhance employee performance and development.


Responsibilities
  • Learning Needs Analysis:
  • In partnership with the Manager, Learning & Development, conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning gaps and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear learning objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Analyze existing learning materials and resources to determine their effectiveness and relevance.
  • Curriculum Design and Development:
  • Design and develop learner-centered engaging and interactive experiences for comprehensive development program(s), incorporating adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Create instructional content, such as presentations, eLearning modules, videos, job aids, and assessments.
  • Develop learning materials that are accessible, inclusive, and cater to diverse learning preferences.
  • Facilitation:
  • Deliver engaging new hire onboarding sessions and professional development workshops, utilizing instructor-led and virtual-led training methods.
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes skill acquisition and respects individual differences.
  • Articulate complex concepts with clarity and precision, adapt communication style to diverse audiences and contexts, and ask thought-provoking questions that stimulate critical thinking.
  • Utilize facilitation technologies and platforms including virtual collaboration tools, interactive polling and feedback systems, digital whiteboards, and collaborative software.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs through evaluation methods, feedback, and insights from our business partners and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Stay current with trends in learning, training, and development research, as well as new materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Project and Time Management:
  • Project manage several development programs from ideation to implementation to evaluation.
  • Operate in an agile, fast-paced environment throughout the development timeline, ensuring timely and client-ready deliverables.
  • Technology and Tools:
  • Stay current on instructional design trends and emerging technologies.
  • Utilize authoring tools, multimedia software, and other learning technologies to create engaging and interactive learning content.
  • Partner with the Senior Learning Management Systems Administrator to deploy learning solutions in the Learning Management System.
  • Upload SCORM files, create training sessions in a virtual training calendar, and enter attendance records for participant course credit and program reporting.
  • Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to gather information on learning needs and ensure alignment on desired solutions.


Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Education, or other equivalent that focuses on learning, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4-5 years of experience in Learning and Development, including both instructional design and facilitation.
  • Strong knowledge of facilitation methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, eLearning standards, and learning content development.
  • Strong communication skills to partner with key stakeholders across the business and project manage learning solution development.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize tasks.
  • Continuous learning mindset and ability to stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends.
