About the Role:


We’re looking for a strategic and innovative Senior Manager, Localization to lead and evolve our localization efforts across both marketing and product. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling localization processes, and ensuring high-quality, culturally resonant translations that elevate our brand and product experiences globally. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating and implementing localization strategies that seamlessly bridge language, culture, and context.


This role is based in Seattle.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a company-wide localization strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances global customer engagement.
  • Act as the primary advocate for localization excellence across the organization, collaborating with senior stakeholders in Marketing, Product, and Operations.
  • Stay ahead of trends and technologies in localization to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Process Optimization and Innovation:
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable localization workflows, leveraging technology to streamline processes and reduce time-to-market.
  • Drive continuous improvement in localization processes, ensuring high efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement localization tools and platforms to support automation, consistency, and collaboration.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure localization requirements are integrated from the start of content and product development.
  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and developers to deliver culturally relevant marketing campaigns and user experiences.
  • Work closely with regional teams to gather insights on cultural nuances and market-specific requirements.

  • Quality and Performance:
  • Oversee the end-to-end localization process for marketing content, product UI, documentation, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of localization efforts, including quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and on-time delivery.


Qualifications:
  • Experience: 7+ years in localization management, preferably in a global B2B SaaS environment, with experience across both product and marketing localization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in localization tools (e.g., Smartling, Lokalise, MemoQ, SDL Trados) and familiarity with translation management systems, CAT tools, and machine translation.
  • Project Management: Strong skills in project planning and resource allocation, with a track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional localization projects.
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across departments and regions.
  • Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of cultural differences and sensitivity to regional nuances.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Localization, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.


$135,000 - $155,000 a year
This is not including a 10 percent bonus and other benefits. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
