Senior Product Designer (f/m/d)

Overview:

As a Senior Product Designer at Aleph Alpha, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our products. You will work collaboratively with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design user-centered solutions that meet both business and user needs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an experienced designer, and a strong communicator who is passionate about building exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities:

User Research:

Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Use findings to inform design decisions and product development.

Design Thinking:

Apply design thinking principles to ideate, prototype, and iterate on product features and enhancements.

Wireframing & Prototyping:

Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and guide development.

Usability Testing:

Plan and execute usability testing sessions, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into design iterations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to ensure alignment on product vision and execution.

Design Systems:

Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all products.

Mentorship:

Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a broad range of design work.

  • Experience in complex B2B products or environments

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, design thinking methodologies, and usability best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders.

  • Experience in working on complex software or digital products, preferably in the tech industry.

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic front-end development is a plus.

  • Bonus skill is previous experience with AI-based products or platforms

  • Fluency in German and English
