Software Development Manager, ECR

Amazon's Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR) is seeking out Software Engineering Leaders to help us build our container registry! ECR is at the heart of most containerized applications and workflows that run on AWS, thus it needs to be fast, scalable, and secure.

As more and more companies switch to containers to improve their speed of delivery, they look to ECR for easy-to-use tools, and we continue to grow the ecosystem of SDLC tools and security features that our customers use on a daily-basis. We work on exciting technical problems such as how to dramatically reduce the time it takes to launch a container within AWS.We're looking for someone who enjoys motivating and growing people. Executing through your team is the most important part of this role.The ideal candidate understands software development. You've kept your technical skills current, to the point where you can help your team identify and reduce risks in projects. You regularly take part in troubleshooting exercises and drive technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues. AWS operates large-scale, mission critical workloads, so you must be comfortable taking responsibility for the operational excellence of your service.
